I am a dedicated DEI and workplace wellbeing consultant empowering global NGOs to achieve their DEI and workplace wellbeing aspirations. With a proven track record of fostering inclusive cultures, I navigate cultural nuances to catalyse impactful change. Leveraging 7 years of experience, I customize strategies that resonate across borders, promoting collaboration and understanding. From comprehensive assessments to targeted training, I guide organizations to cultivate diverse teams where every voice is valued.
In recognition of Black History Month in the UK, I am both honored and delighted to have received an invitation to address a webinar meticulously organized by the Surrey Police Force. This webinar is dedicated to a critical subject: the safeguarding of Black women. My presentation will focus on the concept of "misogynoir" and will provide valuable insights into how both individuals within the Surrey Police Force and the institution as a whole can actively participate in fostering authentic allyship with the Black women they collaborate with and, more importantly, the Black women they serve.
My goal is to support the GenV staff community to integrate Kimberlé Crenshaw's Intersectionality framework into both their professional and personal lives so that the principles of this framework may become embedded sustainably within the wider organization.
I have curated a series of training sessions to empower and support GenV staff in embracing DEI values and best practices. The workshops are carefully planned for maximum engagement and profound learning experiences. Each session will last up to 90 minutes, allowing for valuable discussions and activities. The training will feature a blend of independent learning and interactive online sessions. Participants will receive pre-learning materials a week in advance to encourage individual reflection and preparation for the live facilitated sessions. The GenV staff community will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding, reflect on key concepts, and connect with peers within the live sessions. Smaller discussion and reflection groups will be organized based on regional context, random allocation, or staff roles to foster an inclusive environment.
Throughout the workshops, I will use dynamic online learning tools to enhance the experience and facilitate a transformative journey.
